
Abby Hutchinson
BA (Hons), LRAD, RAD RTS, ARAD, AIDTA, APTD
After starting ballet at the age of 3, Abby studied vocationally at the Hammond School, Chester. She then decided to pursue her dream of teaching and successfully gained a place at the Royal Academy of Dance, London. She completed all of her RAD exams, including Advanced 2 and gained her Registered Teacher Status, BA (Hons) in Ballet Education and Licentiate qualifications. (Abby is one of only two teachers on the Wirral to hold these prestigious qualifications).
After graduating, Abby travelled internationally, (Hong Kong, Dubai and Cyprus) earning a world-wide reputation for her high standard of teaching and 100% success rate in her students exam results. Abby has now had over 20 years experience in teaching students of all levels and abilities, including vocational and professional classes e.g. Dancecyprus Ballet Company. She has also coached students for internationally acclaimed ballet competitions, such as Youth American Grand Prix, Tanzolymp, Prix de Lausanne and the Asian Grand Prix.
Whilst Abby's passion lies with classical ballet, she is also a fully qualified Jazz and Tap teacher with the IDTA and PTD. She has danced for the English Youth Ballet Company as well as the Ballet Rock Company, and is also a talented Irish dancer - holding the 2010 North-West UK Champion and 2015 Hong Kong Senior Championship titles. Abby has up-to-date training in First-Aid, an enhanced DBS check as well as being a licenced child chaperone for the Wirral Borough Council.
